As a new user testing DeVeDe, I have come up with a few issues/questions:
1) From the main screen clicking ADD under Files, the "File Properties" window for me opens too low and must always be raised to see the lower portion -- from 'Preview' down. The "Select A File" window also opens too low unless FP window has been adjusted first.
2) After adding a title, then adding a file, how can we change the title to the name of the file without retyping the entire title?
3) Does adding 2 or more files to a single title merge the files into one 'video'? IOW, Is it a way of making 1 movie from 2 files?
Thanks...

4) When DeVeDe starts all the user directories are buried under Program Files. Could the program please remember the last directories used? I for one would never build a DVD in the Program Files directory, nor copy my video files there for setup. Same with any "My anything" folder. I never ever use them.
5) PAL is the default. I need to change each and every video to NTSC. There should be a way to set the default to whichever format we need once and all videos default to that format.

1) This is an annoying problem that is the result of devede being built using gtk and gtk (especially the file choosers) sucks on Windows. I find this very annoying myself.
2) I believe you will have to type out the title each time.
3) Adding 2 or more files to a title will merge all those videos into one title.
4) See #1. I should be able to fix this.
5) Once you choose NTSC once it should save this as the default. It might show as PAL when you select the video but should switch to NTSC for the conversion. I should check it out and make sure it is working correctly and make any changes that are needed to make it show NTSC if it is the default.
I see...
#1) Can you check the location coordinates of the main screen and adjust the TOP property of the "File Properties"? Or rearrange the "File Properties" screen to be wider and shorter?
#2) Please consider when adding a file to at least change the TITLE property to the file name. At a minimum allow copy in the file window so we can paste into the title window.
#3,4) Excellent.
#5) Seems to have remembered NTSC tonight.
A new one...
#6) Can a setting be added to not create a menu at all?
Thanks

6) DeVeDe used to work like this. It was removed because apparently the dvd standard does not support it. What you will have to do is set title 1 to start automatically in the title properties and set each subsequent title to play automatically when the title before it finishes.
New #7
#6) I was thinking for a single video DVD no menu is necessary. But the settings you mention work fine if a non-menu is not supported.
New:
#7) We could use a way to remove and add audio tracks -- like the subtitles. Many videos have more than one audio but only one is needed for a personal DVD. Or for a self-made film, an alternate track (music, commentary) may be desirable.
#8) Computer shutdown when DeVeDe is finished -- a really nice touch.
I hope you realize these are 'wish list' items I would like to see. Not things I want added ASAP (unless of course I can get them ;-)
audio tracks
with some files having 2 audio tracks. one is usually 2.0 digital and other is 5.1 digital. How can you still allow both tracks to play. Also two language files?
